Four Picture Friday: Daddy's New Camera

So most of you probably don't know this, and to those of you who enjoy my photography, I apologize, but I spent quite a lot of time touching up the pictures I post on this blog. The majority of what you have seen has been tweaked and adjusted in PhotoShop.

Well, Santa came through and got Meng a new camera for Christmas. It's a real humdinger and I'm looking forward to posting some unedited pics for once.

Before I mothball the old Powershot, I thought I'd do an experiment. I went out with my old and new cameras and took double pictures so you could see them side-by-side. Here are the results:

All in all, I'm pretty pleased with the results. There are many more controls on the new camera so there's going to be a learning curve, but I'm getting the hang of it. And I'm not letting the new equipment stop me from crawling into awkward spots for those Lil' Chimpy exclusives.



Here's a picture that makes me very glad I have a new camera.

"Yes, I'll hold."

"Santa? Hi. This is Chimpy. I'm phoning to complain."

"No, I did find the underwear in my stocking. Actually, that's why I'm phoning. No, no, they fit fine. See, I know I'm being potty trained, but if you look at the letter I wrote to you, you'll see I actually asked for a tricycle. Hm? What's that?"

"He says I'm supposed to look under the tree."

"YEEEEEEHAW!"

Four Picture Friday: Early Christmas

Chimpy's Nana and Grandpa came to celebrate an early Christmas. There were the expected grandparently indulgences (I had to actually wrestle toys out of my mother's hands when we were in the mall):

Chimpy's first ice cream.

And grandparently pride:

Nana: Oh, you were never this smart. When you were this age, you spent most your time crying and breastfeeding.

There was some Christmas fun:

Reindeer are added to the Christmas story...

and Christmas lights are added to Christmas wonder.

Chimpy petitions for Spud to be included in a family drive.

As Christmas approaches, I have to decide what to report to the big man up North. It's time for a review to see just how good Chimpy has been.
