Chimpy joins her family's proud tradition of gardening by apprenticing as scarecrow.

She is soon promoted to supervising a supply run.

She joins her pop on early morning snail patrol and watering detail. (Snails are relocated, not crushed).

We thought we'd have a trial run/test market vegetable stand by selling a few of our loquats, but the city shut us down for operating a bathtub out of our front yard without a license.

I've long maintained that Chimpy looked like Buddy Hackett when she was newborn. Not many people believed me, so I decided to turn the matter over to some professionals. Here's what MyHeritage.com had to say about Chimpy and Louie.

Monday Matinee: Dog Crazy

So Chimpy is dog crazy right now, absolutely crazy. When she sees one she points and screams really loudly. Yesterday we went to a Mother's Day fair and passed a lot of dogs, Chimpy was amazed. Here she is letting us know she sees a dog and freaking out said dog, a golden retriever named Boomer. (Boomer is, incidentally, the largest dog she has ever seen, I don't know what she'll do when she sees the Irish wolfhound at O'Reilly's).

Chimpy got to go for her first swim thanks to her friend, Sis. We swam for a bit before the girls decided they'd rather sit poolside and make catty remarks about the other babies.

Sis: I hear she's dating a boy twice her age.
