Today is Chimpy's birthday! She made it to one year, if only by the skin of her eight teeth. The Mayo Clinic guide is full of dos and don'ts, but here are a few the editors might consider adding to the next edition. For now, we are going to throw our copy out. Happy birthday, Chimpy. Happy birthday, Everybody!
Don't give your baby caffeine.
Don't put your baby on the fridge.
Don't use horse clippers on your baby.
Don't let your baby swim without earplugs, she might get swimmer's ear.
**BONUS MOVIE!**
For her birthday, Chimpy went to Wee Play to see the kids. This was the first time she got to push one of those baby walkers around and she loved it.

Happy Birthday, Chimpy! You are our most favourite (Cdn spelling) one year old in the whole world.
As always, all our love, Auntie T, Uncle D, C and H.
I love how she "window shops" past each obstacle... do I want to hop on the rocking horse... what about this tricycle. And she's such a social butterfly, waving to her homeboy at the end.
We can't wait to see her again! Is a birthday party in the works?
It sure was great meeting you last week! How's my favourite volcano? Your dad sure has some cool shots of you on this blog. Give him a high five for me!
Love, Lucy
PS Please ask your Daddy to tell my Mommy how to put YouTube on the blog, she can't figure it out! :)
momily - She's walking with help. You should have seen the first moment I put her on that thing... she took off so fast I couldn't even get my camera off. The second time she wiped out and the third is the one you see. She waves at every kid she meets. The losers don't wave back, but the homeboy is awesome.
lisa - we were in Penticton, just a couple days after you were, I think.
Nice to meet you, Mary Camu. Thanks for commenting and introducing yourself, and happy birthday!
oh momily, no birthday party. We had a birthday dinner with her friend, Sis. She got a cake on her vacation, though. When I sang happy birthday to her, she smiled then signed "more" so I sang it again and she cracked up. That baby signing is creepy!

R&J - I replied on your blog.
R&J - tell Lucy I'm sorry I scared her! I'll be less scary next time. Chimpy sympathizes and apologizes for her pop.
